Code To Inspire is a non-profit organization for female empowerment and encouragement in the field of computer coding in Afghanistan. Its focus is on school girls who are interested in computer science, and its aim is to pave the ground for University female students who are majoring in computer science.
They’ve been doing this for 2 year now. They are teaching Unity, graphic design, and web development. The organization was founded by Fereshteh Forough. Her passion is:
“to empower young women from Afghanistan by improving their technical literacy. Her goal with Code To Inspire is educating Afghan women with in-demand programming skills, empower them to add unique value to their communities, and inspire them to strive for financial and social independence.”
This, and other similar projects, inspire me with hope for our future. The three powerful objectives of Code to Inspire are equality, empowerment, and change. Organizations like this survive through our support – and you can donate on their home page.
Code to Inspire have 11 students who have already learned Software Architecture, and now Code to Inspire are going to teach them Enterprise Architecture – as this is a subject in the university they will be attending. I’ve just become involved in this, and the students will be taking three of my online courses to give them a good introduction to enterprise architecture:
- What is Enterprise Architecture, and why do we need it?
- Enterprise Architecture – the key concepts
- How to become an Enterprise Architect
I’d like to encourage you to support Code to Inspire or similar projects by sharing your professional skills and experience, or by donating. Read more about Code to Inspire on LinkedIn.
